PR Manager
IQ Talent Solutions are delighted to be recruiting a PR Manager for one of our most prestigious clients who are a global industry leader in the software sector. The role is based in Central London where there is a hybrid working policy in place. The role will pay a competitive basic salary, bonus, and industry leading benefits.
You will support the delivery of an impactful, engaging and measurable external communications programme (PR, thought leadership and social media) across EMEA that aligns to our client's objective to position itself externally as a leading digital services company.
What is expected of the PR Manager?
- Create and implement an effective pan-EMEA PR, social media and thought leadership programme, strengthening our clients 'employer brand'.
- Work with the Head of Communications to support our clients Europe Executive Board with an engaging executive communications programme. This includes supporting with media interviews, drafting of speeches and speaking materials, as well as executive blog development and executive social media profile management.
- Work with the digital and demand teams to support the enhancement of our client's online presence through SEO optimised PR and social media content.
- Manage the cascade of Brand & Reputation communications network (across EMEA) and support with the delivery of monthly meetings to brief on upcoming key projects, campaigns and developments.
- Manage the press office function, including the management of media inbox and collaborating with colleagues to develop timely responses to requests.
- Responsible for the reporting and measurement of external communications across the EMEA region. This includes liaising with external providers as well as the commercial operations teams to incorporate insights into the new 360-marketing report.
- Work closely with the retained PR agency to continually deliver excellent results against objectives on time and on budget
- Support external crisis communications activity under the guidance of the Head of Communications, EMEA, and Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications
- Align and collaborate with marketing functions across Europe including Internal Communications, Content, Campaign, Demand, Digital, Portfolio and Customer Engagement teams to ensure aligned activity and content creation and activation.
What we look for in a PR Manager?
- Proven experience and accountability within a dedicated communications role - eg corporate communications or public relations.
- An excellent grasp of English and proven experience in developing targeted written communication deliverables, such as videos, Intranet content, employee newsletters, blogs, speeches etc.
- Be a clear and consistent storyteller able to closely connect market trends to customer needs and solutions.
- Ability to write concise and focused copy, articles and speeches for Senior Management and Board members in appropriate tone of voice.
- Business acumen to communicate and translate business strategies and complex messages into memorable ones.
- Consistently able to meet deadlines and goals to a high-standard and within budget
- An eye for detail with proven proof-reading skills.
- Awareness of best-practice communications and ability to advise and counsel divisions and Senior Management when required.
- Creative and inquisitive with excellent listening skills that can be applied to developing targeted communications materials for external use.
- Good understanding of different international cultures and behaviours.
- Experience of working in an international environment.
- Experience of briefing and managing external suppliers.
- Excellent understanding of digital platforms and know-how to create external campaigns with impact for EMEA audiences in time constrained environments.
- Proven experience in setting up metrics that enable increased understanding of the impact of communication activity.
- Solid experience of creating content for digital platforms - such as Intranet, corporate website, either managed or via third party suppliers.
- Ability to manage budget for function and individual projects.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and PowerPoint is preferred but not mandatory
