We are looking for experienced Basketball & Multi-Sport Coaches ($25-$50/hr) in NYC!

Youth Athletes United was created to provide the best programming and service in the market for youth sports, starting with their first sports experience. Our goal is to provide an experience where every child is an athlete. The long-term impact will allow us to create healthy habits at a young age, teach life skills, and increase youth activity across the board.

The Position:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Basketball / Multi-Sport Coach to join their team. As a Basketball / Multi-Sport Coach, you will work with small groups of children across various ages, developing their skills, physical literacy, and teamwork abilities.

Our Coaches provide individualized attention to ensure every child can succeed.

Our Coaches use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun in a stress-free environment.

Our Coaches use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate success.

And finally, our coaches have a blast! They are open-minded and know that coaching is a continuous journey. All Coaches are open to feedback and strive to be better by attending regular training and following the Amazing Athletes Coaching Manual.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience coaching basketball / multi-sport at various youth levels.

Experience working with children, preferably in a sports-related setting.

Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with children and parents.

Strong basketball background and knowledge of sports in general.

Passion for working with children and improving their physical literacy, gross motor skills, and socialization skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work weekends and/or evenings.

Reliable transportation to and from coaching locations.

Competitive starting pay is $25/hr, with the potential to earn up to $50/hr pending experience
