Production Operative - Sausage Manufacturing

Location: Waltham Cross
Salary: £26,416 per annum
Shift: Full-Time 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Core Hours: 6am – 3pm or 7am-4pm

We are seeking a Production Operative to join our sausage production facility in Waltham Cross.

Reporting to the Production Manager/Line Leader, the role will involve working in a high-care, chilled food environment, in the manufacture of sausages that exceed our customers’ expectations.

As a Production Operative your duties will include, but not limited to:

Support the delivery of key performance targets within your area, ensuring attention to detail, accuracy with all tasks and procedures are always followed.
Receive, inspect, record temperatures and store produce upon delivery.
Complete and maintain data record sheets accurately.
Individually responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety and HACCP control within the department in accordance with Company policy and strict legal guidelines.
Operate machinery in accordance to training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), to process, bag, box or otherwise package the sausages.
Raise concerns about product quality to the Line Leader/Production Manager/Quality Controller in a timely fashion.
Minimising wastage.
Ensure the sausages are checked for all quality and hygiene attributes.
Assisting in the packing of all food products produced.
Carrying out a variety of cleaning duties as required, to maintain a clean, tidy, safe and food safe working environment.
Responsible for personal hygiene and all PPE provided, following handwashing and changing process.
Contribute to providing an efficient, friendly service always to create and maintain a customer focused environment.
We are looking for applicants with the following skills, attributes, and experience:

Good verbal and written English.
Successful completion or willing to undertake Level 2 Food Hygiene and Level 2 H&S Awareness certificates.
Ideally have food production experience.
Good time keeping skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines.
Flexible approach to work.
Have a ‘can do’ attitude.
Willingness to learn new skills.
