Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in their lives? We are looking for a dedicated Pastoral Support Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Hackney. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic team committed to helping students thrive both academically and personally.

As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily lives of our students, providing emotional and behavioural support to ensure they feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. Your work will be essential in fostering a positive school environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Pastoral Support Assistant Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and group support to students with emotional or behavioural needs.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual behaviour plans.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support student well-being.
Monitor and track students’ progress, offering feedback and encouragement.
Support students in developing positive relationships and social skills.
Help to maintain a safe and inclusive school environment.
Pastoral Support Assistant Requirements:

Experience working with young people in a pastoral or support role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with care and confidentiality.
A calm and patient approach to dealing with challenging behaviours.
A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential.
