Murray McIntosh are currently searching for an IT Systems Engineer to join a key client of ours on a permanent basis as detailed below.
In this role you will be working from your home address covering site visits in the South East of England including London.
Our client's systems are deployed across a range of regulated industries: casinos, oil and gas platforms and public infrastructure (train stations & airports) where the need for security is paramount.
Key details:
In this role you will be visiting client sites 3 - 4 days per week. The remaining days you will be working at home, writing reports, preparing for meetings and managing visitation records.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has a background working with IT software, configuring software for bespoke applications, video and audio systems (IP) & Windows OS.
Experience required:
Configuring bespoke IT software.
IP video and audio systems experience.
Strong IP protocols & networking principles knowledge.
Windows / IT Background.
Troubleshooting Windows OS components (active directory, file sharing, clustering, GPO, performance monitoring etc).
Experience networking equipment configuration and troubleshooting (Switches & routers).
Cloud technologies.
Understanding of server virtualization concepts.
Experience with SQL databases.
Understanding of TCP, IP & UDP Protocol stack.
Understanding of network storage (SAN, NAS, iSCSI) principles and best practises.
Background in software / IT verticals.
Must hold driver's license and passport. We are looking for candidates who are organised, able to work independently, and have excellent communication and relationship skills.
This is a customer facing role, where you will be working as part of the project team.
You will be paid overtime at x1.2 for every hour you work over the standard 37
