Principal Technical Support Analyst
Location: Basingstoke
Negotiable Salary
Permanent, Hybrid
A global leading energy company is seeking a Principal Technical Support Analyst to join their team in Basingstoke on a permanent staff basis. The role offers hybrid working of up to 12 days/month working from home, which can be used how you wish.
As the Principal Technical Support Analyst, you would play an integral role within the IT department by managing the IT Service Desk team and providing technical support across a range of platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Principal Technical Support Analyst
- Supervise the IT Service Desk team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues.
- Serve as the escalation point for critical issues and VIP support.
- Track and analyse Service Desk trends to improve service delivery.
- Liaise with local and central IT teams, and oversee AV equipment in meeting rooms.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support, including the deployment of new PCs, smartphones, and tablets.
- Ensure IT systems meet internal and external compliance, especially around cybersecurity.
- Assist in process improvement and user training.
Key Requirements: Principal Technical Support Analyst
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a Service Desk environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, IT hardware, business software, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on cost-efficiency and continuous improvement.
