Are you passionate about working with children and young people, particularly those with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties?

We are working in Partnership with a Specialist Alternative Provision who are looking to recruit a Specialist Teaching Assistant in a challenging yet rewarding role. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide educational support and make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and lead lesson plans and activities as a HLTA
Assist students with alternative learning methods.
Provide one-on-one support to students requiring additional help.
Collaborate with the teaching team to foster a positive learning environment.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Provide opportunities for small group work, and individual support in addressing targets identified in ILPs and EHCP'sRequirements:

Experience working with children or young people, ideally whose who have exhibted challenging and often complex needs, and behaviours that prevent them from attending a mainstream school
Ability to educate and engage students effectively, delivering academic work via 1:1 sessions with pupils
Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
Applicants should be resilient, have high expectations, and a sense of humour as well as the ability to think outside the box.
Full Driving License and access to a car (you may be required to transport pupils in your car on occasion), all milage expenses will be covered.
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.Excellent CPD
