Job Title: Management Accountant

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Overview
We are happy to be supporting a SME business in Cambridge and we are seeking a Management Accountant. You will work closely with the Financial Controller on month-end and year-end processes. This position requires keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the finance team on projects focused on driving cost efficiencies and adding value to the business.
Provide financial insights and reports to support strategic decision-making across departments.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls within finance operations.
Assist the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller with month-end procedures, ensuring accurate and timely Board reporting.
Support the Financial Controller with year-end accounts, audit preparation, and compliance with taxation regulations.
Aid in the development and updating of financial models, budgets, and forecasts for the Group.
Assist in the integration of finance systems and processes for newly acquired businesses.
Participate in various ad hoc tasks and projects within the finance team as required.Qualifications
CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified.Experience
A minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting role, preferably within an industry setting.
Experience with Qube software is a plus, though not required.Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong IT skills.
Excellent numeracy and analytical abilities, with competency in handling financial data.
Strong communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Confidence in making informed financial decisions and the ability to work independently.
