Copello are now looking for several Product Safety Engineers at a Senior and Principal Level on behalf of a Defence Prime who are delivering on current gen and next-gen programmes.
This is a role that can be performed either hybrid or potentially remotely but the incumbent must be willing to travel to site from time to time, Sites are in the North West. The business have a very flexible working policy and are able to work to most peoples needs.
As a Product Safety Engineer– you have the opportunity to work within significant naval defence programmes on highly complex systems. You will be responsible for the governance of safety analysis and assessment activities, Assurant to process approvals ,able to provide feedback and constructive criticism when there are problematic areas that need to be addressed. You will also be required to educate wider areas of the business to ensure the team are adhering to policies
This is an exciting time to be joining the Safety & Environmental Team within the wider business. With the recent government contract won to help deliver, the company are in a very strong position to innovate new technologies within the Defence/Marine sector. You will be given the opportunity to develop within your role with the support from Senior Management to help you advance within your career.
Naturally, due to the sensitive nature of the projects, all applicants need to be UK Passport holders due to security restrictions.
Candidate Profile:
Essential:
* Educated to a degree level in Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Experience working in high hazard industries, such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Rail, etc
* Safety case development/Engineering skills
Desirable:
* Previous roles in Product Safety Engineering
* Experience in any of the following: Structural, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, Engineering Systems, Equipment, Procedures & Standards
* TUV, HAZID, HAZAN, ALARP, FTA, FHA, FSA, HAZOP
* Software & Hardware
* Capability Management
* Programme/Engineering Delivery
* Knowledge of Defence Standards 00-56, 00-55, DSA-01, DSA-02
