3D CAD DRAUGHTSPERSON (TEKLA)
This thriving and well-established business is looking to capitalise on its continued reputation and growth by adding further Design Draughtspersons to join their busy Leicester based team.
Reporting to the Design Manager you will be responsible for using 3D Tekla software to produce general arrangement drawings for new and existing clients across a variety of projects and industries. In return for working a Mon-Fri 42.5 hour week you will receive an attractive salary of £40-£55k + Hybrid working +pension + 25 Hols + Stats + a fantastic working environment.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the design of industrial, architectural and structural steelwork. Specific experience of feature staircases and balustrades would be a distinct advantage.

* Produce GA and fabrication packages on Tekla software.
* General design office duties.
* Liaise with both internal and external stake holders to achieve the project goals.
* Work efficiently to agreed programme dates.
* Assist with deciding best practice for manufacturing and installation procedures.
* Review and understand design information supplied and raise technical queries / RFi’s.
* Issue fabrication and site packs via email / printed format ( when required ).
* Undertake suite surveys / attend design meetings ( transport provided).
* Ensure work undertaken complies with estimates, relevant regulations, specification and company policies.
* Work in a collaborative environment and be a valued team member.

Essential Skills/Qualifications
* Fully skilled in the use of Tekla 3D Steelwork detailing software.
* Substantial experience in the architectural metalwork industry in the UK.

* To be able to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing at all levels within the company and with external stakeholders.
* Understand construction and fabrication methods and processes+
* Have knowledge of UK construction standards and building regulations.
* Possess good numeracy and literacy skills
* Have other computer skills- Microsoft Office experience: Word / excel / outlook.
* Be accurate and pay attention to detail
* Ability to analyse and solve problems.
* Finding practical and innovative solutions to design problems.
