Are you looking to join one of the fastest-growing Social Housing Contractors in the UK? Do you want to have a clear career path up to Operations Manager? If so, then keep reading!

Our client is a leading Main Contractor specialising within the residential and education sectors. They deliver an exceptionally high-quality product and will work on extensive external refurbishment projects.

Due to continued growth, our client is now looking for a Contracts Manager to join the production team, with a clear path up to Operations Manager. You will be reporting directly to the Operations/Divisional Manager and have full responsibility for a Social Housing projects.

The projects vary in value between £1m-£6m and are a mix of external residential refurbishment work, education projects, block upgrades, and traditional build works.

As the Contracts Manager, you will be expected to lead from the front and be comfortable managing both the production teams as well as the commercial teams on site.

This role would suit an individual who has the aspiration to grow within the company. Due to the fast growth and the company set up, this candidate will be given the opportunity to progress up to Operations Manager, having full control of all the site & site teams.

You will need to have experience in the following:

External brick and concrete fabric repairs
DOFF Cleaning
Window and door replacements
FRA works – Communal fire doors, loft partition, and fire stopping
External Decorations
Balcony balustrade replacements
Pitched and Flat roof replacements
Liquid waterproofing to balconies and walkways
Landscaping
Cast Iron RWG Replacements You must be responsible for delivering excellent operational performance and managing an experienced supply chain. You will be responsible for ensuring they are managed and motivated to deliver cost-effective and high-quality customer-focused outputs.

Key skills for Contracts Manager:

Lead and manage all construction aspects of projects from planning consent through to completion. Provide input to other team members on risks, buildability, and programme aspects from inception through to planning consent.

Overall responsibility for successfully delivering all construction projects on time and within the agreed budget
Managing all direct operatives and sub-contractors, ensuring planned works are completed on time, whilst minimizing disruption to residents and the public
Working closely with the supply chain and clients, providing market-leading technical expertise
Overall responsibility for the P&L of your projects Qualifications and Training Needed for the Contracts Manager

CSCS Card (Black Management Card or academically qualified white card)
SMSTS
Asbestos Awareness
First Aid at Work
NVQ L6/7 or equivalent in Construction Management
CIOB Membership is desirable but not essential
MS Projects Training
TWS formal training Relevant Job Experience for Contracts Manager:

Minimum of 5 years of management experience at Contracts Manager level
Large Scale Residential Refurbishment experience (Occupied Properties)
