Job Type/Shift Patterns: Full time, Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours a week (Hybrid, 2-3 days working on-site, rest days Working from Home)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary:

The post holder will work closely on migrating data from QlikView to Microsoft Fabric, leveraging their expertise in advanced Power BI, SQL, and data transformation techniques. They will ensure accurate data integration and optimization, providing robust analytical solutions and maintaining high data quality throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

* Design and optimize advanced Power BI data models to enhance data visualization and analysis.

* Execute complex SQL query optimization and manage SQL incremental loads and NET changes for data consistency.

* Author DAX measures to provide granular dataset filtering and grouping in Power BI reports and visuals.

* Develop and run T-SQL scripts to generate correction journals and reconcile source data with reports.

* Perform ETL processes using Power Query M code in Excel and Power BI to transform and integrate data.

* Create SQL tables and scripts to reconcile source data, ensuring alignment with authored reports.

* Leverage Microsoft Fabric's data integration capabilities, including SQL Analytics endpoint and OneLake Data Warehouse, to support comprehensive data analysis and seamless migration from QlikView.

Required Experience:

Must have previous experience:

* Advanced Power BI data modelling.

* Advanced level of SQL query optimisation.

* Advanced knowledge in SQL incremental loads and NET change.

* Providing Dataset granularity for Power BI contextual filtering and grouping by authoring DAX Measures for context filtering on Matrix tables or Visuals.

* Generating correction Journals with T-SQL scripts made of thousands of rows.

* ETL in Excel and Power BI with Power Query M code.

* Developing scripts for creating SQL tables to help reconcile source data with authored reports.

* Demonstrated Microsoft Fabric Capacity for data analysis leveraged with ‘SQL Analytics endpoint’ on integrated Daaflows and OneLake Data Warehouse.

* Regrouped multilayered categories for Power BI Balance Sheet and P&L report with GRNI reconciliation ‘Drill through’s to Accounts Payable, WIP and Freight.

* ETL Production ERP source data with Power Query Merging tables to map GL accounts and departments to reflect familiar Excel reports leveraging Power BI contexts and DAX Measures.

* Programmed Date table for DAX Measures to calculate Actuals and Budget variances to prior month, year and quarter on Power BI Matrix visuals.

* Split Deferred Revenue releases “by customer, by month, and by product” generated correction Journals that reversed Nominal Ledger entries and re-posted at required granularity for uploading to Sage Intacct

* Advanced functionality in Power Query and T-SQL to re-calculate disparate data source files.

* Provided granularity for data synchs with Tableau producing trend analysis and CRM triggers.

* Experience in an information role within the NHS is highly desirable.

Technical Stack:

* Data Lakes, Power Query, Power BI, Advanced Python, Power Pivot, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), T-SQL and advanced SQL.
