Job Title: Transport Planner

Contract: 6 months initial contract, with confirmed long term hire

Location: Derby

The opportunity:

To join a key operational team with Globally renowned Manufacturing Company, responsible for planning and management of their Global Customer Shipments. Full training in line with global export regulations will be given to the right candidate. This role would suit a highly motivated and organized individual who is early in their career.

Core Requirements:

• Ensure paperwork accuracy, matching the correct documents with the appropriate carrier and customer.
• Plan and manage manual shipping labels using the SAP system and shipping software.
• Perform end-of-day activities, including declaring and pre-alerting carriers for European shipments.

Essential Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• A positive contributor to team dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail, especially under pressure.
