Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Senior Contracts Manager, an 11-month contract inside of IR35. Working through an umbrella company the daily rate is around £620 - £700 a day.

Our client has offices throughout the UK, you can expect as part of your role to visit Glasgow and Perth, however the base office location for this role is Aberdeen (hybrid working).

Reporting to the Procurement & Commercial Manager, you will provide the necessary pre and post contract procurement and commercial support for one of the largest projects within our client's business.

Some of the main responsibilities will include:

• To manage the tender process for capital projects from issue of invitation to tender through to contract award.
• Manage the procurement of essential work scopes, procuring at lowest cost of ownership, this includes covering all commercial, business and legal project risks in contracts and negotiating terms and conditions.
• Development of the Procurement and Commercial strategies in line with the Capital Projects Governance requirements.
• Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and management.

What do I need?

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification and have or be working towards professional membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS or CICES.
• Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the Utilities Contract Regulations 2016.
• Knowledge and understanding of commercial governance arrangements for the development and execution of large capital projects.
• Experience of commercial, contract or costs in delivering projects.
• Experience of estimating, sourcing management, cost & budget management, and contract administration.
• Experience of drafting and interpreting commercial contracts together with knowledge of Standard Form construction contracts and bespoke contract arrangements.
• Experience of working with NEC/FIDIC Contracts.
