Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management Engineer based in London for an initial 6 month contract.

Our client are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Senior Developer or Architect with 10+ years expertise in ServiceNow Development and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
As a ServiceNow SPM Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform to support our Strategic Portfolio Management SPM (pro) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Architectural documentations: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand SPM requirements and design solutions that align with our business objectives.
- SPM Module Configuration: Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform, including the SPM module, to meet the specific needs of our organization.
- Portfolio Management: Design and develop portfolio management solutions, including project and resource management, demand management, and financial planning.
- Integration: Integrate the ServiceNow platform with other systems and tools to ensure seamless data exchange and automation of portfolio management processes.
- Custom Applications: Develop custom applications and modules within ServiceNow to address unique SPM requirements.
- Automation: Implement workflow automation and business rules to optimize strategic portfolio management processes.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of SPM solutions, configurations, and best practices.
- Quality Assurance: Perform testing and validation to ensure the functionality and performance of SPM solutions.
- Experience with creating ServiceNow modules, applications, catalog items and workflows
Key Skills:
- Experience with ServiceNow client and Server Side JavaScript and the ServiceNow APIs Scripted Web-Services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST SSO-SAML Setup and Integration of ServiceNow to Other Applications, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs - all scripted aspects of the ServiceNow system
- System integration experience using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AfJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP
- Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in ITSM technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical
- organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
- Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to implement on time to a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Fundamental knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and Firewalls, network protocols, and IP Networks
- Strong communication, Strong presentation and writing skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to stakeholders and other team members
- Experience with development and implementation of ServiceNow SPM modules, Portal development, Workspaces or other SPM application.
- Experience with extending the ServiceNow schema to custom applications
- Exposure to ServiceNow platform capabilities and tools like Discovery and Orchestration and other applications
- Understands technical and functional design requirements related to ServiceNow
- Create and manage scripts and workflow
- Experience in one (or more) Scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell)
- Experience with relational databases (eg MySQL, Oracle)
- A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL or CMDB
- Customizing ServiceNow using UI Pages, UI Macro & CMS using CSS, HTML, Jelly
