My well-established Engineering client based close to Caversham is looking to recruit a Machine Operator on a full-time permanent basis to work on a permanent nightshift (22.00 – 06.00 Monday to Thursday nights). Candidates will ideally have previous engineering / manufacturing experience and be familiar with engineering practices, machine health & safety and equipment, hand tools, vernier calipers etc.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience operating machines within an engineering or manufacturing environment. (CNC / Amada Punch press desirable).
* Have general engineering knowledge and experience of Machine operating and/or setting.
* Experience in quality checking of parts using micrometres / vernier calipers.
* Happy working a rotating double day shift.
* Any knowledge of sheet metal is desirable but not essential.
This role will be working permanent nights 22.00 – 06.00 Sunday to Thursday (5 nights per week).
A competitive basic salary of £29,950 - £31,000 is offered to the successful candidate. In addition, my client pays profit related pay (paid quarterly) and a monthly production bonus which will take the total annual salary to £36,800 - £38,000.
