The Role

Due to continued growth, we are now looking to expand the team and are searching for a forward thinking individual who is keen to get stuck in and help us grow the company to meet our ambitious goals.

As a Senior Finance Assistant at ZTP you will be part of a small team working on ZTP’s accounts. This involves ensuing transactions are input in an accurate and timely manner. The role involves liaising directly with suppliers, customers and internal staff. The role may also be called to assist in the finalisation and development of ZTP accounts. The role reports into the Financial Accountant.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

*Maintain Purchase Ledger: Record and process all supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper allocation to cost centres. Verify purchase orders, match invoices to goods received notes, and handle discrepancies.

*Maintain Sales Ledger: Record and reconcile sales invoices, manage customer accounts, and process payments. Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up on overdue accounts.

*Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, ledger accounts, and resolve discrepancies promptly.

*Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers, payments, and check payments. Ensure all payments are made within agreed credit terms.

*Data Entry and Management: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software, maintain up-to-date records, and ensure data integrity.

*Communication: Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues. Maintain effective communication to ensure smooth financial transactions.

*Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, including preparing the VAT return, and assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Person Specification

First of foremost, we are seeking someone who has extensive experience in working the financial sector, preferably within the energy market.

Essential Knowledge Requirements

*Finance & Business acumen.

*At least three years on managing ledgers.

*Experience on bank reconciliation is essential.

*Managing Payroll Process.

*Knowledge/experience of cost charging/accrual generation and financial reporting essential.

*High level of competency with Office applications including Word, Powerpoint and especially Excel.

Desirable Knowledge Requirements

*Advanced Excel - Power BI.

*Knowledge of Iplicit accounting software.

*Energy consultancy working environment.

*Energy industry knowledge.

*Exposure to working with corporate clients.
