Quality Assurance Manager

An exciting opportunity for an individual with Technical/Quality management experience, gained within a food manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the site Operations & Technical Manager, the aim of this role is to manage and coordinate the on-going technical integrity of all processes and products produced, ensuring compliance to the Company's Quality Management System, for both own manufactured products and those sourced from third parties. The successful candidate will need to be confident in assessing and managing technical risks, to ensure all customer and site requirements are met.
It is essential that you have experience within the FMCG, food or drink sector.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager will include:
·Ensure compliance to the on-site quality management system to maintain BRC/GFSI accreditation
·Ensure goods in checks are completely accurately.
·Lead, motivate and develop the quality team
·Be a key part of the HACCP team, maintaining the site HACCP system for both products manufactured on site and those supplied by third parties
·Provide technical input and communicate the investigation and resolution of product non-conformities
·Manage and monitor customer complaints and investigations to comply with quality performance targets
·Undertake customer labelling development where necessary
·Assist with NPD and Process Development on new and existing products.
·Manage site environmental policies.
QA Manager Qualifications and experience:
·Proven experience in the maintenance and development of BRC
·Experience of BRC site accreditation audits and customer visits/audits
