Masterclass Education are working with an amazing SEN school who are recruiting for three Learning Support Assistant to support their secondary students to start as soon as possible.
The school supports students from early years all the way through to college. They specialise in supporting students with cerebral palsy as well as other additional needs such as hearing and visual impairments. The school have state of the art facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool and sensory rooms to be able to aid the student’s personal development. They have amazing outdoor woodland treks which are accessible by all.
They are currently seeking three dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will work closely with students who require additional assistance to overcome barriers to learning. This role will involve providing one-on-one support, implementing individualised education plans, and collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure students' academic and personal growth. Due to the nature of the student’s needs, there will also be an element of personal care.
Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.
Job role:
* To support the students both physical and social development.
* Support and encourage positive behaviour management
* Work with groups of students or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
* Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
* To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
* To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every student has the chance to be the best they can be
* To be able to provide personal care if needed
