Contract/Project
We are looking for HGV/ LGV for a temp to perm position in Solihull area, to start in immediately.
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, approx 5.30am start
Rate: £15.79 per hour, £23.69 per hour for Weekend and BH working,Night out rate of £40 gross
Successful candidate will be delivering products to farms and poultry sites across Midlands.
The main purpose of the role:
* Liaison with Transport Logistics Manager to prioritise and complete deliveries
* Liaison with Production Manager and Yard/Stores staff to support order fulfilment
* Customer contact, service and support
* Carry out statutory checks
* Accurate completion and handling of administrative paperwork to ensure compliance
* Use of Moffett
* Required to operate/pull trailers, skips, modified trailers, curtain siders, walking floors etc
* Opportunity to learn new skills (as required)
Experience / Requirements:
* HGV Driving licence, class 1, C+ E
* CPC Qualifications
* Tacho card
* Minimum 2 years’ experience
* Excellent customer service skills
* Good knowledge of EU driver hours
* Willing and able to work effectively and cooperatively with management
* Flexibility with working hours
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Willingness to adapt and learn new skills within the role
