Job Opportunity: Part III Qualified Architect

Location: West Sussex

Dynamic Award-Winning Practice Seeks Architect with developer led residenital project experience

An award-winning AJ100 architectural practice is seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Architect to join their large, friendly team in West Sussex. Working across a broad spectrum of sectors, the practice is committed to creating inspiring spaces that enhance the lives of the people who use them, while incorporating sustainable design principles into every project.

The Role: This Architect will take a pivotal role in leading the design and delivery of a wide range of projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring the realisation of concepts into tangible functional spaces. The role requires substantial experience in simultaneously leading multiple residential projects, ranging from smaller infill schemes to larger urban extension projects. You will be an integral part of a sizeable and high performing residential team.

Responsibilities:

*

Leading the design and delivery of residential and mixed-use projects.

*

Working with housebuilders, independent developers, and housing associations.

*

Preparing initial feasibility site layouts, detailed masterplans, and planning application packages.

*

Managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring effective project resourcing.

*

Preparing fee quotes and approaching existing and prospective clients for new opportunities.

*

Collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors.

*

Providing quick turnaround on feasibility work and ensuring minimal abortive work.

*

Communicating effectively both internally and externally.

*

Ensuring compliance with planning and Building Regulation requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

*

Proven experience in running medium - large residential projects from inception to planning consent.

*

Strong understanding of residential layout design for housing-led schemes.

*

Ability to lead a project team under timescale pressures.

*

Experience in preparing fee quotes and winning work.

*

Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.

*

Some experience of Revit would be preferred, but is not essential.

*

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

*

Knowledge of planning and Building Regulation requirements.
