RF/Microwave Systems Test Engineer | Aerospace | On site in Chelmsford

Duties will include:

Participate in the creation and testing of travelling wave tubes (TWTs) and microwave power modules (MPMs).
Develop and improve test procedures to guarantee a thorough comprehension of system requirements and operating specifications.
Build and optimise test setups, plan and organise testing activities, and work with internal and external stakeholders that own testing equipment.
Execute testing protocols, record outcomes, and produce reports to verify that the system satisfies predetermined standards.
Assist cross-functional teams in diagnosing and fixing performance problems at the system and component levels, working closely with engineers that specialise in electronics and microwave tubes.
Essential Skills and Experience:

Solid understanding of microwave principles, equipment, and testing protocols.
Practical knowledge of operating microwave amplifier systems, especially in the power range of mW to W.
A track record of creating and carrying out test plans that are in compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and legal obligations.
Experience in the defence industry, especially in projects involving defence electronics systems.
A comparable amount of professional experience or a bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
Eligible for Security Clearance (SC).
