Job Description: Sales Manager - Supply Chain Software (Enterprise Business)

Overview:

I am seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team, specialising in supply chain software solutions for enterprise-level businesses. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong relationships with key clients, and expanding our presence in the Netherlands market. Your primary focus will be managing complex sales cycles, delivering value-driven software solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Revenue Generation:

    • Identify, target, and engage enterprise customers in the supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing sectors.
    • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
    • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to closing deals with large enterprises.
    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying new business opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    • Foster strong relationships with C-level executives, decision-makers, and stakeholders within potential and existing clients.
    • Act as the key point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth on-boarding and implementation of supply chain software solutions.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, product, customer success) to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Market Insights & Strategic Selling:

    • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to strategically position the company's products.
    • Conduct thorough market research to understand client pain points and align solutions with their supply chain challenges.
    • Present software demonstrations and proposals to clients, highlighting the value of digital transformation in supply chain management.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline management, and deal progression using CRM tools (eg, Salesforce).
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on sales performance, forecasts, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in enterprise software solutions, preferably in supply chain management, logistics, or manufacturing sectors.
    • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets within enterprise B2B environments.
    • Experience with complex, consultative sales processes and managing multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and software (WMS, TMS, ERP, etc.).
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work autonomously and lead sales initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in CRM tools and sales analytics software.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Language Requirements:
    • Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written). Additional languages are an advantage.
