Description:

Installation and Setup: install Servers, network Switches, storage devices and other data center hardware according to project specifications and client requirements; Building up data center engineering knowhow (knowing what is state of the art on the market, find possibilities to upgrade/adjust our environment with focus on quality, security and efficiency

Cabling and Power Management: plan, install and manage data center cabling( fiber optic, cooper and power cabling) and organize infrastructure layouts

Troubleshooting: diagnose, troubleshoot and repair hardware and connectivity issues promptly to minimize downtime

System integration: work closely with the network, network security team and system administration teams to integrate new hardware into existing datacenter environment; data center InterconnecT: operation and engineering of the ADVA infrastructure (Dark fiber connections between the Swiss data centers)

Documentation: maintain detailed documentation of installation, configuration and hardware inventory using data center software and tools

Compliance and Safety: ensure that all installations and maintenance activities comply with the company policies, industry standards and safety regulations.

Quality Assurance: perform testing and validation of installed systems to ensure they meet operational and performance standards

Upgrades and Modifications: assist in the upgrades of existing data center infrastructure, including firmware updates, component replacement and hardware reconfiguration

Client Support: provide technical support to clients and internal teams regarding data center installation and related issue; End-to-end test together with customers for connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, DSL, Wi-Fi, DF)
