About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced UK VAT specialist to serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse portfolio of clients in the region. This opportunity is open to professionals at both Manager and Senior Manager levels.

As a senior VAT resource, you will collaborate closely with VAT unit partners and local office partners to develop VAT services and strengthen client relationships in the region. You will also be responsible for managing a junior VAT specialist and will have the opportunity to progress to director and potentially partnership for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on corporate VAT matters to a varied portfolio that includes sectors such as property & construction, retail, manufacturing, and tech & media.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships, serving as a key client-facing representative for VAT services.
• Offer VAT technical support to other service lines, including outsourced tax and accounting services.
• Drive marketing and business development initiatives to raise the profile of both the firm and our VAT services, engaging in both regional and national activities.
• Manage and mentor a junior VAT specialist, with the potential to expand the team as the local VAT business grows in line with strategic goals.

Skills & Experience Preferred:

• Extensive experience as a UK VAT generalist with a proven track record in advising on corporate VAT matters.
• Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and provide value driven advice.
• Experience with VAT technical support and collaboration across multiple service lines.
• Demonstrated ability in marketing, business development, and raising service profiles in the market.
• Leadership and people development skills, with a commitment to mentoring and growing a team
