A well-established research and development business are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Maidenhead, Berkshire. This is a hybrid role with the team working on site 3 days per week.
The Embedded Software Engineer will be a key member of the R&D team, investigating new technologies to develop the next generation of products whilst also supporting and improving existing products.
Key responsibilities of the Embedded Software Engineer job:
* Working collaboratively with a team of software and electronic engineers and the Engineering Manager
* Design and development of new product concepts and solutions including requirements specification and architectural definition
* Developing embedded software and firmware, primarily in C
* Define and conduct qualification test procedures and supporting user and field testing
Key skills / requirements of the Embedded Software Engineer job:
* Experience of the full product design life cycle
* Solid experience of software programming (Embedded C)
* Knowledge of electronics design processes and board bring up
