2nd Line Network Engineer, CCNP, ONSITE in Cheshire, ASAP, 3 months +, Inside IR35, £Good

We are currently recruiting for 2nd Line Network Engineer, to join our well established managed services team, due to internal growth, to provide network support, triaging and troubleshooting to our customers and within the internal departments.

You should also ideally be local or within commutable distance to the Cheshire area for easy access and commute to the office, as we adopt a 3 days working in the office approach, however we would be willing to accept remote based candidates if they have the necessary experience and skills for the role.

Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Managed Services Technical Team Leader, the following daily tasks are expected to be carried out:

    • Dealing with support calls from internal and external customers
    • Identifying when to escalate calls to ensure SLA achievement
    • Liaising with 3rd party/vendor support teams
    • Escalating calls to 3rd line support team where necessary
    • Providing regular progress updates to customers
    • Administration of operational documents
    • Provide 2nd Line Triage/troubleshooting on Routing, switching and Firewalls.

    The Person:

    • You should have previous, demonstrable experience working in a Support/Service/Helpdesk environment at 2nd line.
    • You should be at least, Cisco CCNA certified, as a minimum.
    • It is also advantageous if you are CCNP certified or working towards the professional accreditation, but not essential.
    • Excellent knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and systems, including Routing and Switching, Firewalls, ranging in Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet etc.
    • Wireless experience - Cisco, Aruba.
    • Experience in Monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Logic Monitor.
    • Microsoft skills is not essential, but advantageous to have.
