We are recruiting an Engineering Coordinator for an Engineering company who have teams based out in the field. Your role will be to support the operational teams by building the tool kits prior to dispatch and overseeing and planning the repair and maintenance of all the installation equipment. You’ll need excellent organisational and communication skills as you are the pivotal point between the external teams and the business. You’ll be making sure everyone has the right equipment, at the right time and you may need to travel, at short notice, for urgent deliveries or repairs to make sure the teams can continue to be operational and downtime is at an absolute minimum. This could take you anywhere in the UK and so it is critical you are able to be flexible.

Key Responsibilities

* Arranging for the return of faulty tooling and completing repairs to very high standard and within agreed deadlines.

* To manage the delivery of all new kits, building and supplying them in a controlled and consistent way

* To monitor and track the spares inventory and reorder to prevent any out of stocks.

* To help develop systems and processes in line with current business practices to track parts usage in SAP.

* To liaise with other functions as required where additional processes may be required e.g. the machine shop or assembly teams.

* Develop resource plans to support forecast customer demand.

* To assist with the creation of BOMs where required.

What do you need?

The ideal candidate will have strong Mechanical engineering skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. You’ll need experience in working to tight timescales and be able to produce quality information for the wider business. A safety-first mindset is paramount to your success and in return you’ll be joining a well-established business as they embark on an exciting and very fast paced national project that will continue to grow at a phenomenal rate.
