SANZA Teaching Agency is currently working with a small but traditional one-form entry primary school based in the borough of Wandsworth, who are currently looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This position is due to start immediately and on full-time basis until the end of the academic year with the opportunity to secure a full 1 year contract from September 2024. The position of SEND Teaching Assistant is paying a daily rate of £85.00 to £95.00 per day.

As an SEND Teaching Assistant in this school your role will be quite dynamic and mixed. The role is to work with 2x ASD children in Year 6 - a girl and a boy. Both of these children are behind in their learning but do not have difficult behavioural needs so most of the work will be supporting them in the classroom. You will be required to ensure students are making regular progress and promote positive behaviour.

To be shortlisted for this SEND Teaching Assistant role, you will need to have

A university degree in English, Maths, Drama or History (optional)
Experience working as an SEND TA
Good organisation skills
Exceptional literacy and numeracy skills
Patient with a sense of humour
Confident in working independently or in a group setting
Enjoy working with students and aspire to be a primary teacherThis school is a traditional beautiful Victorian building in Putney and class sizes are small but full of character. You will be working in a school that is achieving very good results with inclusion and attainment in Maths and literacy. They offer continued professional development and an opportunity to train within their school community.
