Job Description

The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) is seeking a proficient Senior PeopleSoft HRMS Programmer Analyst to analyze, design, develop, test, and implement solutions to meet the needs of SFPD.

Essential Duties: 

Plan, develop, test, analyze, code, debug, implement and document to provide support on PeopleSoft HRMS and associated interfaces.

Programming with SQL that includes complex SQL extracts. Create scripts to create tables, views, sequences, and triggers.

Analyze, design, develop, and test BI Publisher reports specific to PeopleSoft HRMS. Create processes to add, delete, update data as well as create reports using PL/SQL. Utilize Structured Query Report (SQR).

Conduct feasibility analyses and implement findings as required in a customized environment.

Administer Scheduling Module, Payroll Interface, Workforce Administration, Self Service, Time and Labor, Enterprise Learning, Query Manager, Security Tree Manager, row level security, Portal Structure and Content, and Application Engine.

Manage recurrence setup of recurring nightly jobs, development of process run control parameter screens, and utilization of periodic compare and cleanup tools.

Research and programs time and labor calendar table, vacation schedules, salary grades, and pay steps for all job classifications in PeopleSoft HRMS.

Ensures all requirements of pay period closings are met. Creates and maintains operational and system level documentation.

Stays current with technology changes and stays abreast of law enforcement operations that influence technology solutions.

Analyzes, researches, implements, and tests new technologies and attains sufficient expertise to apply it successfully in the workplace.

Collaborates with colleagues and users to determine program and system requirements, documenting those requirements, analyzing data processing needs, determine security profiles, implementation and testing, conversion to production status, technical documentation, post Go-Live stabilization, and troubleshoot application issues.

Resolve in a timely and professional manner all assigned Help Desk Service Tickets.

Coordinates with colleagues inside and outside the department, vendors, and contractors to complete projects and service requests.

Performs related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
