The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and project teams through support and collaboration in a variety of functions including evaluation, organization, execution, and reporting of project management assignments on commercial electrical projects.
Assistant Project Managers work within established processes and systems with the overall objective of managing/coordinating and completing project activities while maintaining compliance with purchase orders, contracts, and design standards encompassing project safety, quality, value, timeliness, and profitability. This position has been designed with both onboarding and training programs to develop broader project management knowledge, experience, and career advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Work directly with electrical project managers to help implement project goals
Assign duties to staff to implement project goals, as needed
Oversee variable aspects of electrical and general construction projects and provide direct assistance to ensure timely project execution
Overview project goals and ensure project goals are achievable
Liaise with General Foreman and Project Managers to maintain project schedule and efficacy
Assist with procuring electrical materials and other items necessary for completing project goals
Assist in coordination with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
Review project implementation and gather data on project execution
Coordinate with Project Managers and other team members following project execution
Preferred:
Experience using the Procore Project Management platform
Electrical field experience
3 to 5 years of previous commercial, residential construction, or Electrical management experience
Required:
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
Familiar with standard deliverables and work processes on projects.
Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver.
Proven ability to effectively plan and organize own activities and the activities of
