H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to support the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, California.

The SQL Server Database Administrator responsibilities will include:

​Create and maintain appropriate documentation related to server administration tasks.

Enforce change management and compliance processes.

Develop and maintain NHRC’s internal SharePoint site.

Monitor and assist in carrying out server maintenance functions.

Develop SharePoint custom code, workflows, and MS Power Apps.

Create and maintain appropriate documentation related to help desk and database tasks.

Install, configure, and maintain SQL database instances and objects.

Provide subject matter expertise for NHRC applications, queries, and databases.

Capture user requirements for systems/solutions development and deployment; develop functional specifications and work with cross functional teams to deliver solutions.

Work closely with users to understand business process workflows, identify pain-points and inefficiencies and proactively propose solutions and tools, as well as conduct pilots and develop prototypes.

Migrate legacy applications to modern standards, adhering to NHRC data standards.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Clearance: Minimum SECRET clearance

Education:  Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science is preferred

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including storing procedures, synonyms, indexing, and performance tuning, as well as Microsoft Access database migration, and experience with .NET, C++, C#, F#, Visual Basic and Python
