What you'll be doing

As the Sterile Services Supervisor, you will support the the CSSD Lead in the provision of a safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service to all departments within the hospital and external customers. You will ensure that every medical device is prepared fit for the purpose prior to patient use, undertake tasks involved with the decontamination process and keep working areas compliant and maintain a safe and working environment. As the supervisor, you will also deputise for the Sterile Service Lead in their absence and to attend meetings as and when required.

The department provides a comprehensive system-wide decontamination service for reusable medical devices. This includes collection, cleaning, thermal disinfection, inspection, packing, steam sterilising and distribution.

We have strong control processes to ensure we maintain high standards of hygiene and above all, we’re passionate about giving our patients the best possible care and helping them feel better, faster.

What we’ll look for in you

We are looking for an experienced Sterile Services Supervisor with relevant management / SSD experience who is committed to providing a high quality service and will strive to ensure we minimise the risk of cross infection.

You will also ideally hold a relevant qualification in Sterile Services.

This role will require a driving license and access to a car.
