At Axon Moore, we are pleased to partner with a global manufacturer based in the Wirral - onsite role. We are seeking a motivated Management Accountant you could be qualified or on the journey to becoming qualified with CIMA or ACCA. In this role, you'll benefit from strong mentorship from a Financial Controller, while also mentoring a direct report. This position offers exposure to key financial operations, with a clear progression pathway to a Financial Controller position within a stable US-owned group.
Responsibilities:
Manage monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, and overhead analysis.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Oversee inter-company invoicing and group balance reconciliations.
Maintain standard costs of Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
Report production variances promptly and implement process improvements with the production team.
Monitor costs against budgets and investigate variances.
Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.
Produce quarterly VAT returns.
Support the site's Financial Controller.
Supervise and guide the Finance Administrator.
Play a key role in implementing the new ERP system, ensuring data integrity and ongoing ownership.
The Candidate:
CIMA or ACCA qualified or finalist or P/Q (Study Support Provided)
Experience in manufacturing environments with knowledge of Cost & Project Accounting.
Proven ability to work in deadline-driven settings, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Capable of working both independently and as part of integrated teams.
Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
Experience in new system implementations is a plus.
