2nd Line Support Engineer
South-West London - 5 days a week onsite
£40,000 - £45,000 + perm benefits
Eligibility to gain SC Clearance is needed! Thus, meaning applicants will have needed to be living in the UK for the past 5 years without being outside of the UK for longer than 28 days in a single trip.
A leading consultancy-based organisation is looking to grow their end user experience team and an exciting role has come live working as a 2nd line engineer at a key client based in South-West London. Due to the nature of the client and work they will need the successful 2nd line support engineer to be based onsite 5 days a week. We also require applicants to have a good level of stakeholder skills as this is a client facing role.
Responsibilities
Possess 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA.
Be responsible for the completion of assigned works within allocated timeframes and undertake Project Tasks, supporting both internal and external Project Managers.
Proactively communicate and coordinate with Level 3 teams to highlight major level issues.
Find resolution of technical issues for laptop/desktop hardware, networks, printers, etc.
Install & configure software and hardware.
Your skills and experience
An in-depth knowledge and good understanding of Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 11 & Windows 10), including build, configuration and registry settings is required, along with a level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
An appreciation of the Microsoft Exchange environment, email client configuration, MS Outlook, instant messaging tools, along with general etiquette and working Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) software (ServiceNow), basic level understanding in SCCM/Active Directory and a working knowledge of IT service models.
Computer peripherals - including but not limited to printers (including MFD's), display screens, docking stations, port replicators, cameras and scanners.
Excellent customer interface, customer service skills and some flexibility with working hours when needed.
Networks experience to include an understanding of LAN/WAN/vLAN and Wi-Fi technologies, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE and VPN/remote connectivity
