Accelerate Teaching is excited to be working alongside a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Bradford, who are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Teacher of History to join their dedicated team from September 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives on shaping young minds and making a real impact in the lives of their students.

As a Teacher of History, you will play an integral role in delivering a dynamic and engaging curriculum, fostering a deep love of history among students from Key Stage 3 through to GCSE level. This role is perfect for someone who believes in the importance of connecting the past with the present and who can inspire students to explore historical events with curiosity and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering high-quality lessons that ignite students' interest in history.
Planning and delivering well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Supporting students in achieving their full academic potential through differentiated teaching.
Encouraging critical thinking, debate, and independent learning.
Monitoring and assessing students' progress, providing feedback, and ensuring they are on track to achieve their targets.
Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, such as history clubs or educational trips.
Maintaining a positive learning environment and promoting behaviour conducive to learning.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in history or a related field.
A proven track record of teaching history at secondary school level.
A strong passion for history and education, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
