Senior Science Technician - Secondary School - Lambeth

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Lambeth. This is a long-term, full-time position, offering the chance to lead and support the delivery of science education in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day running of the school's **science laboratories**, ensuring they are safe, well-organized, and fully equipped.
Prepare and set up practical experiments and resources for **biology, chemistry, and physics lessons**.
Provide technical support to teaching staff, assisting with the delivery of practical lessons and ensuring smooth lab operations.
Maintain and manage laboratory equipment, stock levels, and chemicals, adhering to **health and safety regulations
Supervise and train junior technicians, providing guidance and leadership within the science department.
Work closely with science teachers and the **Head of Science** to support curriculum delivery and innovation in science education.

**What We're Looking For:**

Proven experience as a Science Technician within a school or similar environment, with a strong background in laboratory work.
Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations related to science laboratories.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
Leadership skills and the ability to train and mentor junior staff.
