Approved Electrician | Manchester | 37.5 Hours per week - Although overtime is not guaranteed, average hours are 50+ per week for around 10 months of the year | £18.47 per hour

Our client provides an extensive range of services and products, including control panel and MCC manufacture, electrical and mechanical system design, certified hazardous area designs, PLC and SCADA programming, certified electrical and mechanical installations, full commissioning services and project management.

In this role, you will support a dynamic, growing business, within the engineering industry, you will be working within the engineering team providing a professional and excellent service whilst supporting all departments and the company with the necessary design duties.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

Qualified Electrician C&G/Apprenticeship/AM2 or Equivalent
C&G 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Inspection & Testing C&G 2391 or Equivalent
CCNSG
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

SHEA Passport – Not essential
SCO1 & 2 – Not essential
Excellent communication skills
Ability to communicate with Clients at all levels
Ability to travel at short notice including long distance
Team player
Willing to work overtime when required including working away from home Monday - Friday
Awareness of H+S regulations on site
What will your role as an Approved Electrician look like?

Ensure the company’s quality standards are met
Ensure safety standards on site are met (H+S /CDM Regulations)
Perform tasks as instructed by the site supervisor
Installation of tray work, conduit, trunking
Installation SWA type cabling at various sizes
Installation of distribution boards
Electrical installation in Industrial Environments
What can you expect in return?

Remuneration Package:

Overtime is paid at time and a half after 37.5 hrs including travel time
Saturdays – first 6hrs at time and a half, double time thereafter
Sundays – Double time all day
22 days annual leave plus Statutory Bank Holidays
SSP – in accordance with government regulations
Company Pension Scheme (after 3 months probationary period) – Company will match your contribution up to 6%
Training is provided by the company along with supported career development
Further levels of pay are achievable once qualified. E.g., Compex Electrician
Benefits:

Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year, accommodation is a single room per person provided by the company at Premier Inn’s across the UK (if available)
Expenses are paid at £25 per night
Health care plan which includes the following:

24/7 access to a doctor or counsellor
