We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Hardware Development Engineer (Medical Device Sector). The role is a permanent position based in Solothurn Canton with some home office allowance.
Your Role:
- Actively drive concept generation, analysis & development of innovative electronics solutions & system architectures state of the art Medical Devices in accordance with design, development & control processes
- Deliver functionally safe solutions with significant elements of cross-functional design eg mechanical, software, firmware in compliance with ISO 13485 & FDA Medical Device Design Control processes.
- Contribute to requirements definition & create design documentation & verification test plans.
- Participate in peer reviewing hardware development artifacts.
- Support the verification team with HW related verifications including CB certifications for IEC 60601-1.
- Drive new component introduction & obsolescence management together with third party suppliers.
- Provide 3rd level product care HW improvements relating to an existing product range through continuous refinement & innovative technology solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis as part of 3rd level support for complaints/production issues & generate technical reports.
Your Skills:
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Hardware Development Engineering.
- Skilled & experienced in Developing Embedded Hardware Solutions, ideally including within the Medical Device Sector.
- A strong knowledge of Electronics Assembly Processes & Test Methodologies.
- Ideally experienced in Altium Designer & DOORS Next.
Your Profile:
- Completed Higher Education/University Degree Electronic Engineering (or similar).
- Efficient, resilient, organized, communicative, customer-focused & team-oriented.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written), German language skills are considered highly advantageous.
