An exciting Quality Inspector position has become available in Blaydon-on-Tyne at a precision engineering company.
Job Title: Quality Inspector
Shifts: Monday -Thursday 7.00am -5.15pm and overtime on a Friday when required 7.30am -12.30pm @ time and a half.
Rate: £32,000 - £35,000 p/a
The Job
* Perform detailed inspections of materials, components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.
* Conduct tests on materials, parts, and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
* Ensure products adhere to company and regulatory standards.
* Interpret and apply quality control standards and procedures.
* Stay updated on the latest quality control standards and requirements.
* Identify and report any defects or non-conformities in products.
* Collaborate with the production team to address and resolve quality issues.
* Maintain accurate records of inspection results and actions taken.
* Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and providing recommendations.
Requirements
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and test equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
