The Basics:

Role: Vertical Borer

Position: Permanent

Location: Pinxton

Contracted hours per week: 39hrs

Shifts available:

Days only:

Mon-Thurs (7.30am to 4.30pm) and Fri (7.30am-12.30pm)

OR

Days rotating with nights:

Mon-Thurs (7.30am to 4.30pm) and Fri (7.30am-12.30pm), rotating every 2 weeks with nights Mon-Thurs (8.30pm to 7.00am)

Pay for days: Up to £19.20 per hour

Pay for nights: Up to £25.53 per hour

Earnings of £45,000 and upwards achievable with OT paid at x1.5

Holidays/Benefits: 33 days, 13 weeks company sick pay, 4% pension contribution.

Overview:

Working in modern, purpose-built manufacturing facilities we now require a Vertical Borer to join the machining department.

The ideal candidate / Vertical Borer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

Time served engineering apprenticeship
Must have previous experience setting and operating CNC Vertical boring machinery.
Be able to program/edit online at the machine
Experience within a precision engineering environment beneficial
Competent working with handheld measuring devices associated in a machine shop environment - micrometres, verniers and various gauges.
Competent at reading and interpreting technical drawingsCommutable from: Alfreton, Derby, Ilkeston, Clay Cross, Hucknall and surrounding areas.
