Electrical Engineer
Based in: Launceston
The expected shift for this role is

Monday – Friday. Typically 5am – 2pm based on a 42.5 hour week at £17.25p/hr
Call outs are paid at an overtime rate with minimum payment of 3 hours x 1.5 OT rate, or 3 hours x 2 OT rate if called out on a Sunday. Call out is generally one week in 4/5 About our Client:
They are an established and experienced business dealing in the treatment and processing of sheep fleeces and skins used in the production of clothing and home furnishings.

What is the purpose of the Electrical Engineer?
The Electrical Engineer role ensures the efficient and reliable operation of plant equipment by performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. They leverage their electrical and mechanical expertise, with an emphasis on electrical systems, to maintain and support machinery and building infrastructure. The role involves continuous development and implementation of strategies to enhance quality, reduce costs, and promote safety. Additionally, they assist the production team with machinery setups and issues.

What are the responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer?

Ensuring plant equipment is operating and functioning correctly.
Proven Electrical/mechanical knowledge ( Electrical Bias)
Building maintenance.
Maintaining equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose.
Continually developing to improve operations to drive improvements in quality, cost and safety.
Assisting production with machinery problems and setups, providing relevant training when appropriate.
Completing daily maintenance check sheets and job cards
Stainless Steel fabrication skills would be an advantage.
TIG Welding an advantage. What qualifications and experience will you need as the Electrical Engineer?

Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail, commitment, and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role.
Will be committed to working within the Company Mission, Vision & Values.
Food industry experience is advantageous.
Comfortable working at height. What you will get in return:

Expected salary is £17.25p/hr based on a 42.5 hour week with the opportunity of extra hours and Call Out bonuses
28 days holiday including Bank Holidays
