As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, ensuring they receive the necessary support to thrive both academically and personally. This position is ideal for individuals who have a genuine interest in supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students in small groups and one-to-one settings.
Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans.
Work closely with teachers to ensure all students are included in classroom activities.
Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and those requiring additional assistance.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Encourage the development of social and emotional skills, fostering independence.
Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a productive learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within a secondary school setting.
A solid understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with young people.
