We provide 24/7 support for the Global Broadcast Operations team and fulfil business needs through constant innovation. We have personnel in London UK, Sterling (VA) US, and Atlanta (GA) US.
The Role
The role is a member of the Global Broadcast Engineering team. This position will primarily be testing and supporting automation and playout systems. This person will work alongside the Integration & Playout Engineering Teams to ensure testing is undertaken and work on upgrades where necessary. This person will work jointly with Broadcast Engineering, Broadcast Operations, and network clients. Must be able to balance technical requirements with creative desires and provide a solid and comprehensive production plan.
Core Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Testing automation and playout systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete requests in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform well in a high-pressure environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Work with a team of engineers and operators in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, coordinate testing & necessary upgrades, and address critical problems through to resolution.
- Other job duties, responsibilities, and project assignments as necessary.
- This position is required to be on site in Chiswick Park London, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday).
- This position is considered an essential position. This means that during times of inclement weather, emergencies, or when access to the workplace may be impeded, that employees in this position are expected to report to work to support business continuance, unless otherwise instructed by his/her direct manager.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BSc in IT, Engineering or similar technical degree or equivalent TV & Media industry experience.
- Understanding of video and audio signals and standards.
- Understanding of Automation Systems - knowledge of Evertz Mediator an advantage
- Understanding of operational workflows
- Basic understanding of AWS architectures and methodologies.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude with ability to lead and handle high volume projects.
- Superior organizational skills with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to respond to changing priorities, timelines, and deadlines.
- Self-learner, independent, with outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize effectively.
