Job Title: Science Technician
Location: Tower Hamlets
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: £25,412 - £26,586 per annum
Our client, an Ofsted rated "Good" mixed-sex secondary school and sixth Form, located in the Borough of Tower Hamlets, are looking for a Sciecne Technician to join the team from September 2024. This position has personal responsibility for an area of the technician service with a particular, but not exclusive emphasis to A level Physics and Integrated Science to Years 7 to 11.
Responsibilities:
To coordinate the use of practical resources and provide assistance and advice in the practical needs of the science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff.
To be responsible for the deployment of 4 technicians ensuring that essential performance standards are achieved.
To contribute to the design, development and maintenance of specialist resources and offer professional guidance to support students and teachers on the practical aspects of the curriculum.
To work closely with the Curriculum Leader in Science in regard to changes to the National Curriculum.
Requirements:
A passion for Science and a genuine interest in supporting students' development.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
Previous experience in a similar role.
