We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who has a fantastic reputation within the Southampton area for its well-established residential care home. The company has a number of homes across the South of England and are well-known for providing top quality care.
Our client strives to deliver the highest standards of care within their residential home and are seeking a strong Senior Care Assistant with previous care experience to join their dedicated care team.
About the home:
This is a beautiful 36 bedded residential care home specialising in elderly and dementia care. Their CQC report is rated "Good" and "Outstanding" in all areas and person-centred care is at the very heart of the company’s values. Each room is beautifully furnished and comes with an en-suite, and the care home also has a number of comfortable communal areas.
These are full time, permanent Senior Care Assistant roles (24-48 hours per week, alternate weekends) paying a fantastic £12.75-13.25 per hour with paid breaks!
Senior Care Assistant Duties:
* To Supervise and participate in the delivery of care to residents, working collaboratively within a team of Carers and other Seniors
* To provide leadership and support to the care staff
* Responsible for medication administration
* Always promote the dignity and independence of residents
As a senior care assistant you will be expected to lead by example at all times and provide strong leadership skills to the rest of the care assistants. You should have a strong work ethic and embody your care homes attitude towards delivering the highest standards of care.
Senior Carer requirements:
* Previous experience within a nursing/residential home
* Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Senior Support Worker
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care
* Medication trained
