GSL Education are looking for a passionate and motivated History Teacher to join a thriving educational environment in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and insightful lessons that bring History to life for students, fostering a deep understanding of historical events and their significance.
Job Summary:
As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cover a wide range of historical periods and themes of the History curriculum. You will engage students through innovative teaching methods, helping them to develop critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of historical events and their impact on the modern world.
Key Responsibilities of History Teacher:
Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive lessons in History, aligned with the national curriculum.
Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills through the study of historical events and figures.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their understanding of the subject.
Work closely with colleagues and the History department to enhance curriculum offerings and teaching strategies.
Foster a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and critical thinking.
Qualifications of History Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, ECT or equivalent, in History or a related field.
Experience teaching History in the school setting is highly desirable.
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching the subject.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
A commitment to professional development and staying updated on educational best practices.
