Job Title: Senior Project Manager - TRU
Location: Flexible, with regular work from DfT Leeds and Network Rail York offices
Contract: Full-time, 2-year fixed term
Salary: £52,330.00 - £60,718.00 per annum
Grade: Grade 5 Upper
Role Purpose:
Manage the delivery of large and complex projects within the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade (TRU) program, collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve project objectives, minimize passenger disruption, and ensure the realization of project benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead project teams to deliver TRU objectives.
Oversee project planning, setting milestones, and monitoring progress.
Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Network Rail, Train Operating Companies, and contractors.
Ensure compliance with project management policies, risk management processes, and legal requirements.
Take corrective actions to address issues and monitor project performance.
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Professional qualification in project or program management (e.g., PRINCE2).
Extensive experience managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Strong knowledge of the rail and transport industry.
Proven leadership, communication, and financial management skills.
