Senior Technical Analyst

Annual Salary: £47,000 - £57,000
Location: Hybrid - 2 days per month on-site in Newport, South Wales
Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a Technical Analyst with a strong technical background and a passion for evolving technology portfolios. This role is ideal for someone with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills who is eager to learn new technologies. The Technical Analyst will play a key role in implementing, configuring, and governing our technology portfolio, as well as supporting multiple areas of the business with a proactive approach.

Day-to-day of the role:

Responsible for the underlying technologies that deliver desktop services and the supporting toolsets.
Provide high-level technical expertise and specialist knowledge for all related desktop infrastructure, specialising in at least one of the identified areas of responsibility.
Collaborate with the ITS Lead Technical Architect and other Senior Technical Analysts to ensure that the implementation of new and existing technologies meets design requirements.
Maintain security updates and system patches for all underlying desktop service systems under your responsibility.
Work closely with vendors to determine and produce a technical roadmap and support lifecycle for all desktop systems, highlighting risks.
Assist with the training of technical analysts in the desktop infrastructure team to ensure a high standard of knowledge and customer service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong technical background with good knowledge and skills in supporting technologies such as Active Directory, PKI and Cert management, Endpoint Detection and Response, Azure Security products, PowerShell scripting, and Azure Active Directory.
Azure certifications (SC300, AZ104) or 5+ years of experience working in Azure.
Proven experience in actively supporting IT systems and Active Directory/AAD.
Proficiency in Windows server administration.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Sound understanding of network fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and HTTP.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with a proven track record of working with businesses.
Ability to manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure Cloud services.
