Job Title: Machine Operator (CNC Shop)

Location: Hythe, Kent

Salary: £23,200

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am- 1pm

Is a leading manufacturing and supplier of components for multiple industries. They offer a 360 degree service from design support, prototyping, assembly to the testing of finished products.

Role Summary:

To support the Machine Shop in achieving operational excellence and delivering high-quality products to our clients in a timely manner.

Family run businessKey responsibilities within your new role would be to:

Operate machinery such as the grindmaster.
Sett up fixtures and jigs for milling and drilling.
Carry out deburring on components.
Use of a band saw and general bench work.
Produce parts of good quality, whilst ensuring maximum targets are met.
Assist in setting up and operating machines including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and presses.
Ensuring correct storage and organisation within the machine shop.
Conduct basic quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
Maintain cleanliness in the work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
Work closely with machine operators and other team members.
Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into the CNC machine.
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.Experience and skills required for this position:

Experience of working in a factory environment using machine shop equipment.
Attention to detail is important for this role.
A basic knowledge of maths.
The ability to problem solve.
Excellent communication skills.
